Acne laser surgery has proved to last quite a long time. In some cases acne patients indicated that it took years before they saw another pimple.
That’s because…
The laser light scorches the oil producing glands in the skin (the sebaceous glands). These glands then contract and produce less oil (or sebum).
And we both know that…less sebum in our pores means less acne breakouts.
So it’s safe to say that laser treatments will prevent acne for a long…long time.
However…
…Some dermatologists advise patients to try other forms of acne surgery first. And acne laser surgery should be a last resort.
But I guess it’s all up to the individual.
