What's a good acne treatment for my description?
I’m 16 years old and i have some acne on my forehead, i’ve tried proactive and acne free but it takes a while for it to actually get rid of all of it so i stop taking it, just cause i get lazy. Whats a good acne treatment that gets the job done faster.

Try Differin (gel, not cream, it’s more efficient). If it will not help you then try Accutane. It’s more powerful but it’s antibiotic. Ask your doctor what is better for you.

I use Zap-Zyt since it works the best for me. You can get it at any CVS, Walgreens, etc.
Again, you cannot be lazy if you want to get rid of the acne completely. Acne medication takes a couple weeks to work, and if you quit, it’ll just come back. Sorry, but creams are just a temporary solution and it doesn’t get rid of everything completely. It’ll just grow back once some of them are gone. There is no way around it. You’ll just have to start on it again until puberty hits the curb. Good luck

well, firstly, the pimples you can see and feel are ones that started about 2 months ago, so you need to stick to a routine for a least 2 months before completely eradicating your acne problem (provided it is a good routine)
From wat i’ve heard, proactiv is not that effective for many people. so…dw about not stickin to it.
Basically, you need to exfoliate your skin often, so that the new skin underneathe your dead skin cells move up, and any hidden pimples will surface.
At night, you should apply benzoyl peroxide (5% is good), which kills the bacteria that causes acne. I say benzoyl peroxide because it’s one of the only topical treatments that will continue to work no matter how long you use it.
I’m not sure how much science you want to know, but basically,
1) clean your skin with face washes that have salicylic acid (see the back of the label),
2) exfoliate (best is to use glycolic acid containing gels, but any non-creamy/oil free exfoliator should do,
3) use benzoyl peroxide at night.
If you get lazy, just stick to clean and exfoliate in the shower, and benzoyl before bed.
