You have to decide what is best for you as some conventional, majorly marketed products are extremely effective, yet without side effects on some people whereas they are extremely allergic to many due to the harsh chemicals involved.
Mild to moderately severe acne may be treated with over-the-counter gels, lotions, and creams such as benzoyl peroxide which is applied directly to the skin. Oral antibiotics may also be prescribed to reduce inflammation while oral contraceptives have also shown to improve acne.
In episodes where acne is extremely severe, another oral medication known as Isotretinoin (Accutane) is one of the most effective treatments with successful results. However, all these medications can cause negative side effects and it is important that you inform your health practitioner or dermatologist immediately.
It is also important to develop a good skincare routine that involves cleansing your skin in the mornings, evenings and after workouts. By adjusting your lifestyle and incorporating a healthy diet, exercise, drinking lots of water and getting adequate sleep will also help to make a significant difference to your skin’s appearance.
Herbs have proven to be a more natural, gentle alternative for the treatment of acne rather than the harsh, synthetic chemicals used in over-the-counter products and conventional medications. Not only are herbal remedies safe and effective to use, they also support the skin, immune and digestive systems.
Two carefully selected herbal ingredients such as Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree Oil), Azadirachta indica and Arctium lappa contain antibacterial, anti-fungal and antiseptic properties and are not only effective for acne but for other skin conditions too. Other herbs such as Aspalathus linearis (Rooibos) and Bulbine frutescence have wonderful antioxidant and healing properties and also help to prevent skin infection and provide ongoing relief. In addition, Lavender Essential Oil acts as a circulatory stimulant and antiseptic, and is used to treat burns and wounds and to prevent scarring.

Hi Mj..:)
WANT TO SOLVE ACNE PROBLEM IN JUST 3 DAYS?? Actually, there are a lot of acne products that can be purchase in the market ..but did something come up in your mind that before buying an acne treatment..you have to consider some important pointers?
Here are some points to ponder before buying acne treatment products on the market:
First of all, evaluate the severity of your acne. Do you have a few pimples and possibly a smattering of whiteheads and blackheads? Then you might have mild acne. Or maybe you have more than a few pimples, some red spots, and perhaps acne scarring in some areas of your face? You could be diagnosed with moderate acne. If you have a major breakout of pimples and lesions that are scattered all over your face, then you might be suffering from a severe case of acne. Knowing how mild or how severe your acne is can help you choose the right acne products that contain the right ingredients to treat your acne.
The second step is to analyze your skin type. Is your skin dry and flaky, or clogged and oily, or maybe a combination of the two? Those who have dry skin will benefit most from over the counter acne products that are in cream or gel form. These will treat acne and hydrate the skin at the same time. Those who have oily skin should stick with acne products that are in the form of a wash or liquid. Water-based products will wash away excess oils and will not clog pores. Combination skin types need to be spot-treated, which means use water-based products for oily skin and then moisturize the dry areas with cream or gel products.
After that, you can now buy the desired product …exact acne product for your acne problem.
I would say a treatment called AcneFree Severe. I got it at Target for $22 and it’s 20x better than Proactive. Look it up and try it.
