Rubbing Alcohol For Acne
Go To: Facebook.com Rubbing alcohol is something that kills bacteria on the skin but I don’t recommend using it on your skin as an acne treatment for several reasons. Besides it smelling bad, it’s a toxic chemical that shouldn’t be applied to your skin daily. If inhaled or swallowed or it get’s into the bloodstream at all it can cause problems. Rubbing alcohol also contains a high concentration of “isopropyl” which is what you want to stay away from! if you expose this to your skin on a daily basis you are most likely getting it into your blood stream in small amounts which isn’t good. It’s not a sustainable acne treatment, same with hydrogen peroxide and benzoyl peroxide and salicyclic acid. I recommend addressing your diet and using natural skin care products instead. witch hazel is a good alternative!! and tea tree oil is the best for spot treatment:D for some of you who is in too natural stuff..
wait i’m kinda confused, so can you use rubbing alcohol on your skin? like rub it with a cotton ball on your forehead and such?
@Puppy0110 nevermind, sorry.
@Puppy0110 It’s all good! I don’t recommend it… it’s too harsh and overall isn’t a sustainable treatment.
@sjluvdance For sure! both are great, thanks for mentioning!
@MyYummycookie Thank you!
@naturally4us Thank you!
@TheJhonnybrisko Thanks! I appreciate it! I’m guessing I love your attitude then too! lol… Glad it has helped! I will keep it up! I have quite a few vids now
I used Dickinson’s original witch hazel astringent…it says it contains 14% natural alcohol. Is natural alcohol not the same as rubbing alcohol?
love the information.
wow I cant use alcohol on my acne…it burns my skin like hell and discolours my skin! thanks for the info though..i have to avoid anything with alcohol on my skin
rubbing alcohol is a bunch of stupid
@ItOffishul LOL!
@tatalu It seems better… Here’s what they say about it on their site: “Unlike other astringent products that contain high levels of either synthetic alcohol or isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol), our products contain only natural alcohol derived from grain. This ingredient is used in limited quantities as a natural preservative.”
So it seems better than isopropyl alcohol which is what’s in rubbing alcohol.
@MARLENIAMOSLEY Thank you!
@sdecordovaxxx Yeah, it’s pretty strong on the skin!
