Is it safe to use laser resurfacing while still having acne?
i have an appointment coming up to use laser resurfacing to get rid of some bad acne scars on my nose. However, my nose is a little inflamed. There are no pimples but it’s a little bumpy in the middle. I heard after the treatment the area will be swollen and red. So i was just wondering if it will make it worst.

The best thing is to go to the appointment and the professional will tell you if it is safe or not. I work for an MD that has a medical spa and they laser people with acne scars all the time. But they also provide products to help the acne before the resurfacing. It is a little spendy but worth it cosmetically. Don’t put any products on your face before the appointment but provide them with the info on your current regimen of acne care. The resurfacing is amazing. It may take more than one time if you are currently inflammed. Remember, it is summer and you will have to make sure you are not exposed to the sun after these treatments.
