Is Hydrogen Peroxide a good treatment for acne?
I’ve been looking online for at-home acne cures, and one treatment I’ve been seeing a lot is hydrogen peroxide acne treatment. Would that be a good way to treat acne? How would I use it? Would I just apply hydrogen peroxide topically on my face? How often should I use it? Is it safe? Any other advice/suggestions? Thanks!

gah, acne.. i had acne for 7 years and used every treatment out there until i was put on accutane (YAY!) and i havent had a spot for years
.
anyway, i had hydrogen peroxide (i cant remember what volume, sorry) in a topical gel form. it dries out your spots to a crisp if you use lots which gets rid of redness etc. if you do use it MAKE SURE to wash your face with a mild cleanser to make sure you dont dry your skin out more and get a good moisturiser (but not heavy because that will clog your pores). i used mine every night and morning.
good luck! keep trying different treatment if that one doesnt work but give it time!
IDK! I haven’t heard of hydrogen peroxide. I do know that if you take toothpaste and squeeze some out onto your hand and put it on your face and make a face mask and leave it for 15-20 minutes then rinse with a warm cloth, it should go away within a few weeks. That’s what I do and it really works. Good luck !

Hydogren Peroxide will work on acne kinda. Basically all it will do is dry out the pimple. Proactive is made with a higher volume of peroxide, like the kind you mix with your haircolr. They come in different volume 20V, 30V, and 40V and you can buy them cheap at your local beauty supply. I would recommend 20v clear, BUT BUT BUT always moisturize after you wash your face. Like Dab your pimple with the peroxide at night and in the morning wash your face.
It was our secret in the salon
Sometimes it works & sometimes it doesn’t. It all depends on the cause of your acne… If it’s hormone related then no it won’t work. However if it is something as simple as stress, it may work. I have tried it & it will dry up your pimples but it’s not going to prevent them from coming back. Also, it is not an immediate cure… Just dip a cotton ball in the HP & blot your blemishes with it every time you wash your face (after). I did it 3-4 times/day & it seemed to dry them up within a couple days.
