How can I get rid of and prevent adult acne?
I am 33 and I am starting to break out. I have tried Clean and Clear blemish cream but it drys out my face. Is there a product that will help? I saw this Neutragena product for wrinkles and acne, has anyone tried that?

Many people find Proactiv solution very helpful, that is the one sold on TV and at kiosks in malls. There is also a cheaper alternative in drugstores called "Acne Free" which is also effective. the key to these is they deliver a balancing treatment that includes benzoyl peroxide against the acne without allowing your skin to become dry and irritated which can make it worse.
I feel your pain. I had great skin until I turned 35. There are over the counter remedies. I went to see a doctor and got a prescription because my outbreaks were severe. You do have to be patient. You will not see results over night. I suggest a visit with a dermatologist. They are the skin specialists, after all. Good luck. I know what it’s like to have acne. Kinda puts a dent on your self esteem.
Doesn’t it suck? I never had blemishes in High School, why do I get the now (36). Try Acne Repsonse by Loreal, the daily care kit and the weekly peel. It’s great and it is made for adult skin. I also use Philosophy "the microdelivery mini peel pads", mostly for exfoliation, but it has worked great as well. Good Luck.
Dealt with that too and finally went to a dermatologist because I got tired of using every over the counter product. I am so glad I did. Put me on a medication and special cleanser and Retin-A. Worked miracles and so glad I finally did it.

Don’t use harsh cleansers
Don’t scrub face to hard
Pat face dry
Don’t squeeze pimples
Use a mild lotion with no perfumes
Use a skin toner
Close pours with cold water after washing
Try using all natural clear soaps
Try using a mixture of cornmeal, Aloe vera for a scrub.

Try not to touch your face.
Use an astringent for cleaning a few times a day like peroxide.
