Does anyone use the proactive acne treatment?
I want to know if it’s as good as advertised because I have used just about every single acne treatment on the planet and nothing has worked so far.

Proactiv is very good. You dont say how bad your acne is. The good thing about Proactiv is that you may order it from television – but expect them to send the product every few months. Kind of like a book club. However, you can cancel at any time. OR, not sure about where you live, but Proactiv is starting to show up in the malls in a vending machine. You can purchase only what you need. Expect to spend at least $35 to $40 for the basic system.
Dont be disappointed in the size of the bottles. It only takes a little bit of each product. I mean, it literally lasts for a few months! So the value is good.
That said, I have one daughter who used Proactiv. She had only a few pimples but the ones she got were whoopers! She is very light skinned (African American) and would scar. Proactiv works for her for about 3 months and then she takes a break for about two weeks and starts again.
Daughter #2 is a dark skinned African American. She got pimples primarily on her cheeks and nose. Multiple pimples at one time. The big raised red pus filled ones. Proactiv helped but was not long lasting. I am taking her to a dermatologist so that we can get a prescription for a mild dosage of Accutane.
I am 43. Medium complexion. Occasional acne. But I tend to scar. Proactiv worked miracles for my skin.
Hope this helps. Our experience with the product was good enough to where I would certainly recommend it. Try it at least once. Oh! You must use it every single day or you wont see results. All of us saw results within two weeks.!
I have!
Recently started using it, about three weeks ago. It is awesome, I feel comfortable going without make-up and that is a big deal for me because I have always been self conscious of my acne scars and blemishes. My friends and family always comment on how much my face is clearing up, and I feel great! After only three weeks of using it to, I can’t wait to see what a few months will do! Just make sure you use it on a regular basis, get on a schedule and it works wonders.
I also find that drinking water with 1/4 of fresh lemon squeezed in it helps too. Gross, but it works. And if you’re like me, you’d do anything to have clear skin.
It works differently for every person. I’ve used it for a few years and I haven’t noticed a marked difference in my skin. It also started irritating some parts of skin recently too. I would just try it out and see if it makes a difference. I think they have a free 30-day trial.
Personally, it didn’t work for me. My acne wasn’t all that bad either. I tried it for a good 3 months following the steps daily and I saw no improvement. The stuff really irritated my skin and left it dry. They sent me a gentler version but still, it ended up not working for me so I left it alone. I know for sure it doesn’t work for everyone. In any case, I suggest you take a look at the home acne treatments here http://homeacnetreatmentreviews.com/ The first product mentioned on the site actually worked for me and I have been acne free since using it. I’d recommend it over Proactive.
