DIY Professional Acne treatment Chemical Peel Results: Day 1-4 part 2
I thought I would show how easy the recovery process actually is……Some people are scared when they here the word Chemical peel….;but it is one of the best skin treatments ever…promise! This is truly a MUST HAVE in order to maintain healthy skin or to treat skin issues. I do these once every couple of months to maintain my skin. This is considered a medical grade light peel and far superior to anything you can buy over the counter. This is the peeling process and results of a standard Professional strength chemical peel treatment. I used the treatment on my chin and jaw area. The treatment ampoule I used is a serum formulation and consists of a professional strength combination of hydroxy acids.

@3layerzdeep Thanks jazzy….yes, you are far to smart and intelligent to NOT pursue it…..Master skills are just like anything else…baby steps….I know you like all natural…but i’m going to pull you to the Dark side…..HAHAHA *insert evil laugh*
@TheMasteresthetician thanx girl…and i do like natural products, i just need to find the right “natural” products that fight off my evil nemesis and so far i have not found the right product, so i’m going back to what worked…but right now it is a working progress.. and yes cannot wait till i’m able to do all that stuff…but gotta admit, it looks like crap until the skin heals…
I thought peterthomasroth was a chemical sunscreen!!
@ShubhpreetC ….the one I use is a chemical free 30 block with zinc and titanium…he may have a different one that is chemical..
Hi, first I wanna say that I love love love your channel. Here’s my question, I have eczema (however that is spelled) and psoriasis (however that is spelled too!) on my elbows and I was wondering if a chemical peel would help me get rid of it at least get rid of the scaring I have that has been caused by it. I’ve had this for so long and creams don’t do shit. It just comes back as soon as I stop putting some on.
@ValLovesDenis they are so hard to treat and honestly their is no one cure all…..its just a matter of trial and error…and understanding that these conditions cycle and just come and go…
my friend did this and she was told to use vaseline, is that ok? i’ve made a dermatologist appointment and since i have a lot of scarring i know that this is an option. what is your opninion when it comes to chemical peels vs microdermabrasion?
@seashell8596 yes vaseline can be used once all the tingling has stopped….both are forms of exfoliation and both are effective….I like peels better because they shed more skin than a microderm…so you can do them less often..
I would appreciate it if you gave me your opinion on this: i have a bottle of 25% glycolic acid peel. The instructions are in Italian and while I understand some of it I wondered whether I can use the same procedure you outlined and do I have to neutralise it with something alkaline afterwards, Thank you for answering!
what type of chemical do you use for a chemical peel and do u do it to yourself. I would like to offer this at the salon. I love your videos they r great!!
@Lambkin98 the main factor is not the glycolic % but is the pH of the solution….the Ph is what determines the strength of the peel…..anything under a pH 3 will need to be neutalized….can you make out the ph level on the instructions??
@irenelovespink33 I use may different ones to address different skin concerns….this video was a lactic, salysilic and resc peel.
@TheMasteresthetician Thank you for your answer!
Ufortunately it doesn’t give the pH at all. It just says the series of treatments should be repeated twice a year and done every week for 6-8 weeks. I tried it a few times before (didn’t prep the skin with acetone, didn’t know it needed to be done) and applied, left on for 10 minutes and rinsed off, followed with baking soda solution. I didn’t have ANY peeling. I would be happy if they provided detailed instructions but what can you do.
@Lambkin98 it sounds like it is at a neutral level pH………that will not result in an agressive peel. You wont need to neutralize it due to the ph level or use the acetone.
@TheMasteresthetician Thanks

hi, I have a question for you about the after effects of a chemical peel. I have heard that it can lighten your skin. I don’t mean the pink that comes after the peel. Is this true and if so is it a temporary thing like lightening after bleach or something? I am an olive skinned italian girl and it is dark enough to really notice if it is going to lighten, especially compared to the rest of my skin. is theree anything I can do about this if it does happen or any way to lessen the change? Thanks!!
