Thanks for the video!
how can you tell the difference between actual acne on your back that may be caused by just being “acne prone”, and “sweat pimples” or breakouts caused by sweating? do they need different types of treatment, or are they basically the same?
hey Dr. Schultz, what about acne on the shoulders and chest?
i rarely have acne, esp since i am on orthotricyclen. i have had bacne for a while however i finally had a dermatologist tell me a lot of the bumps on my back are actually from PMLE. This made sense sense i never put sunscreen on my back and the sun can burn through my clothes. The few times i went to the beach and then had to put steroid cream, the bumps went away. I’m not sure that I can treat the acne without aggravating the PMLE, I dont intend on using the steroid cream that often
hmm…? good tips.
Accutane cleared my bacne right up!
@kgstudioproductions it would be the same deal.
Lush Fresh Farmacy and good scrubbing helped my back and chest acne!
I didn’t scrub as much on my chest compared to my back.
It’s not completely clear by now but it worked a lot for me
@bojanglesk88 It’s SO strong, and terribly dangerous for women! Did you have any complications from it? (Peeling skin, eye problems, etc?)
@bojanglesk88 same!
Deeper penetration.
@bojanglesk88 did you feel miserable, didn’t your hair start to fall, didn’t your skin peel? I took it when I was younger and I swear I’ll never do it again. I still have a bit of chest and back acne.
@KiraShimMers1 oh! okay thanks!
@SarahGilmour
The only side effects I got were chapped lips, dry skin, some lower back pain, and some sensitivity to sunlight – I got burned more easily
also it may be from conditioner. I noticed my bacne went away when i switched to a light one.
I’m definitely going to try medication (pill form) in the future, but I have had a lot of health problems and am on strong medication already, so I think I’ll have to wait to try this method. Most of the problem on my back (and my face a bit too) is that I have some dark acne scars, and these show a lot because my skin is extremely pale and translucent.
juicystar said she used clinique to get rid of backne…not my fav person but i remember her saying that
just thought taht would be helpful maybe
i know she lies about a lot of products but i hear clinique is great stuff….for acne…when people are allergic to oh what is it called, you all that watch her know, oh acutane, which is still out but in generic form according to her sister, they apparently banned it in name form, but it’s out in generic, kinda like doctors are sued for giving out oxycontin a lot but not for roxicodone which is the same but not time released, which is so dumb
oxycontin is actually more affective than oxycodone for pain (roxicodone)
oh but my point was, if you are allergic to accutane, clinique is a great way to go i hear, proactiv is not for someone that would need accutane
my friend used accutane as a teen, and she is now what 30? i’m 31 so she’ll be 30 soon, if she’s not she’s 29, and her health wasn’t affected at all, well we know that health isn’t as simple as knowing in a few years of course, but just saying she used it at 16 and she’s in perfect condition as of being age 29, IMO she didn’t need something that strong, she had acne that looked like rosacea however you spell it
at the same time when we were that young, we didn’t have so many OTC products or any really that worked, and accutane was one of the only ones that worked for acne…i’m sure there were other scripts, but we didn’t have any OTC stuff that would have worked for her, not any mainstream ones that anyone but maybe celebs knew about that would ahve worked….
i bet you can get a big brush, like a big back washer and put stuff on it like the clinique
Thanks alot doctor for the awesome advice:)
