Adult acne?
I’m 30, and I’m just now experiencing acne. Oh sure, I had the occasional zit from time to time when I was a kid/teen. But nothing like what I have now.
I only get them on my chin. Sometimes, just one… sometimes a colony pops up! But once I get rid of one, or one colony, here comes some more!!
I flip after 3 nights, watch them after 1 week. I wash my face 2 times a day. Which I’ve gone from original Noxzema to deep exfoliating Noxema. I don’t think this is from my diet because that’s pretty healthy. I drink more water than anyone I know.
Is this is Adult acne?
I mean, I flip my pillow every 3 nights & wash them after 1 week.

To be perfectly honest, Noxema actually made my breakouts worse when I started experiencing them like you are. I would suggest Mary Kay’s Timewise Miracle Set for Combination to Oily skin. A lot of other acne washes out there don’t care for adult skin like Mary Kay’s does. This will help cleanse deeply to prevent blemishes, but also help prevent aging. You can also try the Mary Kay Acne Treatment Gel for spot treatments on blemishes. Plus, what you get for the money is way more economic than other brands. (Basic set starts at $54 including foundation, and regular set starts at $104, includes foundation, plus our pro-newal system that really targets wrinkles. Each set lasts about 3-4 months and it includes everything you need.)
Also…be careful not to mix brands of skin care and/or makeup. That also made my breakouts much worse.
Murade works I love it its 70 bucks in sephora I think its worth the money
everything that your doing sounds good.. i have tried proactive, clinique, and other over the counter stuff, but i went to a spa a few weeks ago and the lady told me about dermalogica adult acne kit, she gave me samples.. i think she sales for abour 60.. i just bought on one ebay for 30.. but the samples she gave me made my skin feel so much better…. and helped with blackheads… i included the link for the product
unfortunately, it is just hormones. Keeping your face clean and keep your hands away from your face helps. If you are on birth control, you might need to ask your OB/GYN for a different brand that helps w/ acne. If not on hormones, you might consider it. Or visit a dermatogist. You can try 2.5% benzoyl peroxide.
I would recommend Arbonne’s Clear Advantage line for acne-prone skin. I have friends (late 30′s/early 40′s) with adult acne and they use it. There is a cleanser, a toner, and a moisturizer. They also have a supplement that my daughter takes (she’s 15) and it helped her a great deal.
It takes about 3-4 weeks to see visible results. CA is more natural without the harsh chemicals that most acne lines contain.
Hi I believe its adult acne. I started breaking out at the age of 19, now I am 23 and i’ve tried so many products and research on acne. Honestly you don’t need an acne targeting face wash, just a simple oil free wash will do. Acne is caused by an imbalance of hormones caused from stress, lack of sleep, lack of proper vitamins, minerals, or other. You break out more from internal causes, rather than external cause.
So far for the past two and half years the only thing that has reduced my acne is Natures Cure.
Its homeopathic pills and a topical cream, under $10.
Hope you get your clear skin back!
It sounds like adult acne. The acne could be related to hormonal changes that come with age or something else. So it has nothing to do with your diet or how clean you keep your face. Only a dermatologist can tell for sure. Some topical medication (lotions and creams) will clear it up. They are prescribed by the dermatologist. They are gentle medications for you face that won’t dry it up like the over-the-counter stuff. I can tell you what I use if you want to ask your doctor about it. I have adult acne, and my routine is a gentle washing (no harsh cleansers)– Then I use a prescription lotion called Klaron in the morning. It’s main ingredient is sulfacetamide if you want to look it up online. I also use Duac lotion at night (also a prescription). Using these two medications cleared everything up, so it’s like I don’t even have acne anymore. Not everyone needs two medications. Sometimes you only need one medicine to get results. If you can’t afford going to a dermatologist (some people don’t have insurance), then visit your local clinic and discuss the acne and topical medications with that doctor. That could be the cheaper way to go just so you can get a prescription started. But it is best to see a dermatologist to monitor your skin regimine.
